2015 repress. its been four years since my last own ep on stockholm ltd. the main reason for this is that i have been surrounded by music that has inspired me much more than my own. this ep was written and produced with strict narrow frames and a huge amount of frustration. i was tired of waiting for the inspiration to kick in, then suddenly it appeared with a strength that i havent felt for long time. im now curious for more. while sketching the title track, >wyatt arp<, i couldnt get detroit legend, terrence dixon, out of my mind. terrence is a long time hero of mine, and an artist that always stays on the true side of what we do while most of us occasionally leave our paths. i had to ask him to do a rework. / par grindvik

iyewaye, oliver koletzkis first release after the autobiographical i am ok album, introduced a new facet of the artist�s sound. the ep catered to a darker and more raw aesthetic, a direction followed and deepened by the four remixes. first up is the title track iyewaye, turned into a lengthy tech infused introspection by hatzler. loosely centered around the initial vocals, loco & jams makeover explores the tracks captivating snappy narrative. the more rhythm focused ipuza gets a special treatment from hidden empire who dial up the aggression of the percussion. zakari & blange downplay the tracks initial exotic elements, focusing on the rattling synths and giving it a late-night dancefloor rework.

devoted to the art of movement is the first record from nss (no spiritual surrender) a duo formed by j.c. (ahd co-owner together with damian schwartz) and kastil this e.p. centers it s attention towards electro, but continue ahds heritage of giving a twist to those 90s sounds that influenced us so much, from early idm to detroit, all is present here. the opening track is the one that gives the ep it s name, an acid stomper build around an electro beat that builds up and down fiercely. the track maintains its tension throughout its whole length by building strings and arpeggios over its acid sequence, never transferring its beat to a straight kick, capturing the attention since its first second. proposed playground is build around a more steady electro beat, strings and sounds merge themselves around the beat to create a beautifully hypnotic piece where where some background melodies tickle our ears bringing memories from idm golden years. zero one is closing track, without leaving the electro rhythms the defined the whole ep the track is build around a phrenetic synth sequence that sets the path for the whole length, rhythms are rough and strong and its syncopated hitting adds emphasis on that frenzy atmosphere since its first second till the last.

dynarec started making music in 1994. his productions, influenced by drexciya and dopplereffekt, are a mix of deep atmospheric pads and leads with � cool to very heavy � drums.his first releases on delsin in 2003 and 2004 were picked up by dj�s such as laurent garnier and dave clarke. after some more records on nature and kondi, he started his own « vaporwave » label in 2005, four records were released to date. he is able to fill in some very emotional and melodic workout that makes you wonder, how is he able to do that? playing piano since he was 6 years old could be an answer to his performing skills. apart from delsin, nature and kondi, he has also released on southern outpost, electrix and lately, on keith tucker�s puzzlebox label (us) and on cultivated electronics (uk). dynarec also releases music under the names of speakwave and chris kalera. he has performed worldwide, including festivals such as the famous stereolize, in paris, and the amsterdam dance event, amongst others.

dutch powerhouse creme organization started a brand new label entitled jericho one. the man behind the first ep is berlin based brit bnjmn, who has released on label like delsin and rush hour and has a strangely melodic, lo-fi sound. opener skur is a hurried techno jam with frosty textures and bleak industrial vibes. it sets the vibe for the total feeling of the ep which is way more floor facing compared to bnjmn s earlier productions. this is a truly out there and wild ep that once again finds bnjmn experimenting on the outer fringes of the techno world in his own unique, distorted way.

the bush is a homage to the place where i have lived for the last decade (askew road). the askew road itself is slowly changing so i wanted to document all the places that play a big part in mine and my families lives before they eventually get sold for more flats or tescos. first up was peckings studio 1 record shop, which has been on this stretch of road since the 1960s. next up is the mighty sun pub which became a local talking point when they sold the place because a sign sat in the window that announced this bup is close.
